As a Diagnostic Radiographer at The London Clinic, you'll play a pivotal role across a diverse imaging service, performing General X-ray, Theatre and Fluoroscopic examinations while developing your expertise within one of London's leading independent healthcare organisations. Working across our busy imaging departments, we support patients from a wide range of specialties, ensuring they receive a positive, professional experience from the moment they enter our department.

As part of our team, you'll be working closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Whether I'm carrying out general radiography examinations, supporting theatre procedures, assisting with fluoroscopy studies, or learning new skills through our Interventional Radiology training programme, I'll be contributing directly to patient diagnosis and treatment.

What you'll be doing

• Perform high-quality General X-ray examinations for both inpatients and outpatients
• Support theatre imaging and mobile radiography services across the hospital
• Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures
• Develop skills in Interventional Radiology, participating in training and competency programmes
• Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R 2017 regulations, ensuring examinations are clinically justified
• Position patients accurately and adapt imaging techniques to individual patient needs
• Advocate for patient and staff safety by minimising radiation exposure
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely, escalating faults where required
• Utilise RIS and PACS systems effectively, ensuring accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in departmental rotas, including weekends, nights, on-call and out-of-hours duties
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care
• Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients throughout their imaging journey
• Maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and information governance
• Contribute to quality improvement, service development and continued professional learning

What are we looking for?

Essential

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent qualification)
• HCPC registration
• Previous experience in General Radiography, Theatre Imaging, Mobile Imaging and Fluoroscopy gained through student placements and/or post-registration practice
• Strong understanding of radiation protection legislation and IR(ME)R regulations
• Familiarity with RIS and PACS systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends, nights and on-call commitments
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care
• Understanding of CPD requirements and commitment to ongoing professional development

Desirable

• Post-registration radiography experience
• Exposure to CT, Interventional Radiology or DEXA imaging
• Experience participating in clinical audit or quality improvement activities
• Evidence of undertaking and recording CPD activities
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes within diagnostic imaging services
